Jeremy started Urban Sheds in 2017 with the vision of connecting local craftsmen and homeowners around great shed designs, sustainable production and straightforward purchasing.
Jeremy grew up in Lebanon County Pennsylvania. He helped work in the family furniture shop started by his grandfather. Through this experience he learned to pay attention to and appreciate the details needed for great craftsmanship.
Jeremy moved to Western Massachusett in 2001 at the age of 16 and became a production manager at Hometown Structures for 13 yrs. He started a sandblasting business, Ironblast, on the side, as well as sold firewood and did snow plowing in the winter for the city of Westfield Ma. After moving to Medford Ma. in 2014 he started, Alpha Omega Property Services, a handyman business out of which he started Boston Hardwood Decks and Urban Sheds.
Jeremy has a passion for efficient and smooth running systems. He values beauty and craftsmanship. When he’s not too busy building business, you’ll find him on the job constructing sheds or resurfacing hardwood decks.
Jeremy is married and has 3 children. They educate their children at home. They are connected to a broad community and love to travel.
Builder - Atlanta Ga.
Steve Smucker is an experienced craftsman with skills ranging from framing to interior trim work. He partnered with Urban Sheds at the end of 2017 to begin building sheds in the Atlanta, GA area.
Prior to starting his current business, The Finishing Touch, he worked as facilities manager at City of Refuge in Atlanta, GA.
Steve has a passion for bringing out the best in people. He has a heart for changing lives and making a positive impact in the world.
Steve is married and a wonderful father to three boys. Steve’s wife Christy enjoys photography, home educating their sons, and mentoring young women. The Smuckers live in the historic Westside where they enjoy having friends and neighbors in their home.
Builder - Malden Ma.
Joe Wine came onboard as a builder for Urban Sheds in the Spring of 2018. Joe and his crew are some of the main builders for the Greater Boston area.
Joe grew up in a woodworking shop in Lancaster County Pa, through which he gained the experience and craftsmanship skills needed to build quality sheds. He has over 10 yrs. experience in construction, ranging from framing to the fine finishing work.
Joe is conscientious and gives attention to detail. He has a eye for design, is creative, and solution oriented. He works diligently to build sheds that customers will love.
Joe is married and a father to 4 children. He lives in Malden Ma. He is dedicated to family and church and has interests in drones and RC aircrafts.
