What we collect, and what we do with it.

What you give us, and why

Your zip code. When you enter a zip to see your builder or your local price, it is sent to our server to look up the builder whose territory covers it, and it is remembered in your browser so every price on the site can use it. It is not tied to you unless you also send us a plan.

The page you arrived on. Your browser keeps the first page of your visit, the site that sent you and any advertising tags in its address (such as a Google Ads click id) for 30 days. If you send us a plan or a request, that goes along with it, so we know which of our pages and ads bring people to their builder. It is not tied to you unless you send something.

Your plan and email. If you email yourself a plan, we store your answers, the drawing and your email address in our builder portal so we can send the plan, and your local builder receives it as a lead. If you give a first name, it goes on the plan.

A site visit request. Your name, email, phone, the address of the build site, the time you chose and any note go to the builder who covers your zip so he can confirm the visit, and to Urban Sheds.

Email you send us. Messages to info@urban-sheds.com or warranty@urban-sheds.com are kept as long as they are useful for answering you and servicing your warranty.

What we do not do

We do not sell your information. We do not send a newsletter. We do not share your details with anyone except the builder who covers your yard, the services that run this site, and, if you book a site visit, the calendar that schedules it.

Services that run this site

The site is hosted on Vercel. Plans, leads and builder information are stored in a database hosted by Supabase. Emails are sent through a transactional email service. The 3D design tool is a separate website run by ShedPro; anything you enter there is covered by their policy. The financing options we point to, Upgrade and HFS Financial, are separate companies with their own policies; the loan is between you and them.

Measurement and advertising

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, and Google Ads and Meta tags to measure whether our advertising works. These set cookies. You can block them with your browser or an ad-blocker and the site works the same. Vercel, our host, also counts page views for us (which pages are visited, from which site and country, on what kind of device); it sets no cookies and does not identify you.

Your choices

To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, email info@urban-sheds.com and we will do it within 30 days. A plan saved on your own device is only in your browser; clearing the site’s data removes it.

Changes

This page carries the date it was last updated. If the practice changes, the page changes first.
