Every price above is for the same build: LP SmartSide T1-11 siding, painted, a double wood door, on concrete blocks. Standard access, no windows. Everything else is its own line item.

How to buy an Urban Shed.
Make a plan.
Walk through the shed planning process in the planner. Visualize your size, decide foundation type, determine access level, then save the plan to a page of your own.
Customize your shed in 3D.
You pick the roofline, size, siding and colors in our 3D design tool. It takes about ten minutes and you do not need an account.
Schedule a site visit.
Your builder comes out for about 45 minutes to check the grade, the access and where his truck can park. Anything you add with him goes on the estimate as its own line item.
Place a deposit.
A deposit, usually 25% and set by your builder, locks in your build date. It comes off the final invoice and is refunded in full if canceled before the build day.
Build scheduled.
Your builder is on site while the lumber comes in and the shed goes up where it will stand. Most builds take two or three days.
Final payment.
You walk through the finished shed with your builder, then pay the balance from your page. It carries his one-year workmanship warranty, our 30-year structural warranty, which transfers once to the next owner, and LP's 50-year siding warranty.

Why are you more expensive than a factory kit?
Because it is a different building. A factory kit is framed on 24-inch centers with plywood T1-11 or vinyl siding and arrives on a flatbed. Our builders frame on 16-inch centers with 2x6 rafters, side it with LP SmartSide and build it in your yard, and the structure carries a 30-year warranty that transfers once to the next owner. Our framing table lists the two side by side.
How long does it take?
Most builds take two or three days in your yard. Weather, the size, the roofline and the options you add can stretch that, and your builder gives you a number for your shed at the site visit.
What does the deposit do?
The deposit puts your build on your builder's calendar. He sets the amount, usually 25% of the price, and it comes off your final invoice. It is refunded in full if canceled before the build day. It does not lock the design: you can change the shed with your builder any time before the build and even during it, and each change goes on the estimate as its own line item.
What's the warranty?
Three warranties. Your builder covers his workmanship for the first year and comes back to fix anything that is not right. Urban Sheds covers the structure for 30 years as long as the shed gets about an hour of upkeep a year (we publish the checklist), and that warranty transfers once to the next owner of your home if the form is filed within 60 days of the sale. LP covers the SmartSide siding for 50 years. If your craftsman ever leaves the network, Urban Sheds connects you with another certified craftsman. For a claim, your builder answers within five business days; if you cannot reach him in ten, warranty@urban-sheds.com assigns another certified craftsman within five.
What happens at the site visit?
Your builder comes out to see the build site. He checks the grade and what site prep it needs, how easy the build site is to get to, whether it is an easy carry or a harder one, where he can park his truck and where the materials will be delivered, and how much room there is to work around the shed as he builds it onsite. About 45 minutes, nothing to prepare. That way build day holds no surprises, and anything you decide to add together goes on the estimate as its own line item.
