Framed like a house.
Your builder frames a storage shed the way he frames our biggest one, and Urban Sheds backs the structure for 30 years, transferable once to the next owner of your home.

Questions people ask us.
Will a riding mower fit in a storage shed?
Yes. A 10x10 holds a riding mower with shelving down one wall, and the planner draws it to scale so you can see the room around it. A push mower fits any size, from the 6x8 up. If the list is a riding mower plus a bench, it is a workshop shed.
Can it sit along the fence or beside the house?
Yes. The shed is built in place, so it goes where a trailer could not get a kit. Your builder needs a few feet of working room on each side while he builds, and he checks that at the site visit along with the ground under it.
My backyard has a narrow gate / finished landscaping. Can you still build?
Yes. That is the reason to build onsite: your builder carries the materials through the gate by hand, so nothing needs a crane or a flatbed and the fence stays where it is.
Why are you more expensive than a factory kit?
Because it is a different building. A factory kit is framed on 24-inch centers with plywood T1-11 or vinyl siding and arrives on a flatbed. Our builders frame on 16-inch centers with 2x6 rafters, side it with LP SmartSide and build it in your yard, and the structure carries a 30-year warranty that transfers once to the next owner. Our framing table lists the two side by side.
What does the deposit do?
The deposit puts your build on your builder's calendar. He sets the amount, usually 25% of the price, and it comes off your final invoice. It is refunded in full if canceled before the build day. It does not lock the design: you can change the shed with your builder any time before the build and even during it, and each change goes on the estimate as its own line item.
